An alternative to paved surfaces – the lawn grate
The lawn grate also known as lawn mesh has many important functions that improve the quality and durability of a lawn surface. It is particularly suitable for areas subject to heavy traffic or loads such as car parks, sports facilities, cycle paths or home gardens or as protection for slopes and pond edges. Lawn grids can be a much cheaper and easier-to-install alternative to paving blocks – they are installed with clips into one surface and then backfilled. The grassed openwork lawn grid is invisible. It protects and stabilises the ground prevents it from being torn up and protects the grass roots from damage. It is also a very effective barrier against moles or voles.

The material is extremely resistant to mechanical damage and external influences such as humidity and low temperatures and is also extremely flexible making it easy to install. The lawn grid creates a biologically active surface area of almost 90%. This allows plants to grow freely, and the mesh structure allows rainwater to flow freely into the soil preventing stagnation and the formation of puddles.
